Welcome to Brahm Youth Centre @ Newton

Youth Centre at Newton was officially opened on 23 April 2022. This is Brahm Centre’s first youth mental health service centre that offers a range of programs and services to empower youth to be happier and healthier. Support is also provided to the youth’s parents and guardians.

Youth Care Team

The Youth Centre on level 5 features a dedicated space for the youth. It has been appointed a Youth Community Resource, Engagement and Support Team (CREST) centre by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) / Ministry of Health on 1st July 2022. It offers youth and parents in support of their developmental growth with mindfulness-based programs and engaging activities.

Programs and Services

Youth Centre provides youth well-being screening and emotional support through coaching, befriending and counselling. Mindfulness courses and enrichment activities are organised to develop youth’s mental resilience and skills such as communication, aesthetics and social-emotional.

Training and Development

Youth Care organises training workshops to prepare staff and volunteers for different roles. The volunteers serve as peer supporters, Mindful Academic coaches and coaches for interns. Most volunteers are youth who play a key role in helping other youth, in a youth-for-youth approach.
