Since 2021, our Internship program has supported more than 150 youths in preparing them for a future-ready workforce.

The internship program prepares youth (aged 15 and above) for the future workforce. We provide them with opportunities to learn and develop work and life skills to enhance their self-understanding, confidence and mental resilience. 

The 4 pillars of support are

• Skills development: Each intern is attached to a team in Brahm Centre (Senior Care, Youth Care, Centre Customer Service & Admin, Marketing & Communications or IT) based on their strengths and interests. The interns learn work skills and how to work well with fellow colleagues. Their work supervisor provides them with the necessary training, guidance and supervision.
• Self-discovery: Interns attend weekly workshops to enhance their work and life skills, gaining self-awareness and improving self-confidence. Examples of workshops include customer service, communication skills, mindfulness, personal grooming and computer literacy.
• Coaching: Each intern is assigned a personal coach who helps them explore their strengths, aspirations, and motivation to work towards their goals.
• Mental resilience: Our interns attend a mindfulness course during their internship, developing resilience and reflecting on their work experience to gain valuable insights. They are encouraged to view challenges and problems as opportunities for learning and growth.

Support for interns 

• Friday meet up (training and bonding, check in)
• Continual support post-internship: Quarterly get together for past and current interns (social network), stay connected
• Volunteer with our Centres
