Ms Yap Su-Yin was previously the CEO of Tan Chin Tuan Foundation, managing its grants and developing programs in Singapore and ASEAN for 14 years.
She was a news correspondent with over 20 years of media and communications experience. Her articles have been published in international media, including the International New York Times, The South China Morning Post, the Asian Wall Street Journal as well as The Straits Times, where she won awards for news features.
She is also a board member of the National Council of Social Service, and a board member of Shared Services for Charities, where she is Chairman of its Human Resource and Professional Development committee. She previously served on the board of the Community Justice Centre, which she helped seed.
Su-Yin is an alumnus of the National University of Singapore, and holds a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester, UK. She is also a Licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the UK.
