Dr Sun Yujing
Dr. Yujing Sun graduated from medical school in China and earned her Ph.D in cancer Pathology. From 2006 to 2019, She worked as a researcher to develop novel cancer immunotherapy in College of Medicine, University of Vermont (UVM), USA. In 2019, she left UVM and retuned back to China to teach mindfulness. Now, she works in GuangZhou Medical School Secondary Hospital, Guangzhou, China to promote mindfulness to health care providers and clinic patients.
She took the MBSR teacher training at Center of Mindfulness (CFM) UMASS Medical School in 2014, finished in 2015 and earned Certificate in 2019. From 2014 to 2019, she worked with a certified MBSR teacher to provide MBSR course for cancer patients in UVM Medical Center. From 2015, she teaches adapted MBSR for Chinese cancer patients while also teaches standard MBSR in mandarin for general population.
She translated “Mindfulness Based Cancer Recovery” by Linda Carlson and Michael Speca into mandarin and published it in 2016. She initiates a charity foundation “Hope in Heart” to support underserved cancer patients to learn mindfulness skills. She is a qualified Mindfulness Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) teacher and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) from Yoga Alliance in US.
