A/Prof Ruchika Prakash
Dr Ruchika Prakash is an associate professor at the Department of Psychology at Ohio State University. She is Director of the university’s Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory and Associate Director of the Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Brain Imaging, a state-of-the-art neuroimaging research facility. Dr Prakash has interests in designing and evaluating studies of exercise training and mindfulness practice, and in 2017 she received a major grant from the United States National Institutes of Health to study the benefits of mindfulness for reducing cognitive decline in older adults. She received the “Rising Star Designation” given by the Association for Psychological Science in 2013 and the Springer Early Career Achievement in Research on Adult Development and Aging by the American Psychological Association in 2016.
