A Day in Windsor Nature Park: Taking A Gander at Singapore’s Landmarks
Led by Brahm Centre Simei, more than 20 seniors gathered in a group last Saturday morning at Simei MRT in the heartlands, making their way to Upper Thomson MRT and travelling from the east to the north. By doing so, seniors were brought out of their comfort zone and given an opportunity to explore other parts of Singapore, as well as interact with each other and make friends at the same time.
From Upper Thomson, participants basked in the sunlight on their walk to Windsor Nature Park, taking in the sights of nature in the Treetop Walk and getting a much-needed workout in the company of flora and fauna. Our seniors were all smiles as they explored the landmarks of the park, taking photos and pushing their physical limits.
At the end of the walk 4 hours later, seniors reported feeling fulfilled and satisfied, having accomplished what they set out to do: appreciate the scenery and infrastructure of Singapore, as well as forge new friendships.
