Mindfulness For YOUth Camp - 1st to 3rd Dec 2014
The first ever Mindfulness For YOUth Camp was held to prepare a group of 20 youths with the necessary life skills to successfully negotiate the academic and social stressors during adolescence. Youths between 11 to 17 years old were exposed to the experience of mindfulness, in photography and yoga and techniques to train their attention and focus.
Participants were given a taste of mindfulness during the YOUth Camp to deal with stress and challenges in their daily lives and they were introduced to yin-yoga techniques to relax and tune in to themselves.
They were also given the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills and unleash their creativity in improvisation skits, enhancing their self-confidence and awareness.
