Mr Choo Chiau Beng
Mr Choo is the Chairman of M1 Limited and a Board Member of National Research Foundation, Prime Minister’s Office, and a member of Science and Engineering Research Council Board of A*Star. He is also the Chairman of National University of Singapore (NUS) Centre for Maritime Studies, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Raffles Institution, a Management Board member of Institute for Engineering Leadership at NUS, and a member of Singapore University of Technology and Design’s Board of Trustees.
In July 2014, Mr Choo was appointed by NUS as Provost’s Chair and Professor (Practice) in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Department of Management and Organisation, NUS Business School.
Mr Choo was conferred the Public Service Star Award (BBM) in August 2004, The Meritorious Service Medal in 2008 and NTUC Medal of Commendation (Gold) Award in May 2007.
Mr Tan Chade-Meng
Known “Meng”, he was a software engineer and motivator at Google. He was Google employee number 107 when he joined in 2000. His last job title in Google was “Jolly Good Fellow” with a job description to “Enlighten Minds, Open Hearts and Create World Peace” before retiring in 2015.
He was known especially for greeting celebrities who visit the Google Campus. He started collecting celebrity photographs when Jimmy Carter and Al Gore visited. He now has a large collection of photographs of his meetings with celebrities including Barack Obama, Desmond Tutu and Lady Gaga!
He is the author of the book ‘Search Inside Yourself’ which has won International Acclaim from World Leaders and Business Leaders. He latest release is “Joy On Demand”. He hopes that his books will contribute to World Peace in a meaningful way.
Ms. Chen Yew Nah
Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Audit Committee
Ms. Chen’s last corporate role was Managing Director, DP Information Group, Part of the Experian® Group, the world’s largest credit reference agency. Experian is listed on the London Stock Exchange and a constituent of the FTSE-100. Within 18 years of heading DP Information Group, Singapore’s largest local company specializing in credit and business information, Yew Nah has turned the companies around by redefining and re-engineering the methods, management and technology applications of DP Info Group and its large data-library. She expanded the company from 30 employees in 1996 to over 150 information & credit bureaus specialists today. Now retired from corporate life, she is keen to spend the next 10 years in social enterprise development work as well as green environment promotional efforts.
Dr. Ho Eu Chin
Vice-Chairman of the Board, Chairman of Programs and Services Committee
Dr Ho is a Consultant Otolaryngologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Academy of Medicine Singapore and holds a Master of Medical Education from the University of Warwick. His clinical and research interests are in the management of chronic ear diseases, hearing and balance disorders. Dr Ho endeavours towards a humanistic practice of clinical medicine. He volunteers with Tzu Chi International Medical Association. Dr Ho believes in empowering patients with robust knowledge of their health conditions by giving free public talks regularly.
Ms. Angie Chew
Exec Director & ACTIVE Program Director
Angie Chew has been designing and delivering mindfulness courses to help people deal with their stress, depression, career and relationship challenges. She is a certified mindfulness trainer with 15 years of meditation experience.
In 2012, she launched Brahm Centre to promote happier and healthier living as a proactive approach to empowering every individual to create his/her own happiness through mindfulness practices, developing mental resilience and having the right knowledge in maintaining good health.
Prior to pursuing her passion to serve in the community to alleviate mental suffering, she held senior positions at various large companies including Accenture, Visa, Singapore Airlines, Hewlett-Packard and government agencies.
Mr. Henry Baey
Henry Baey, is a graduate in Commerce from the Washington & Lee University in Virginia. USA and is an old boy of Anglo-Chinese School and Hwa Chong Junior College. He is currently the Group Managing Director of American International Industries Group of Companies
Henry is currently a member of the Scout Council as well as member of the Programme Advisory Committee for English programes at MDA. He is also serving on the Board of Visitors to the DRC / Prison.
Dr Chan Keen Loong
Dr. Chan Keen Loong began his psychiatric career in 1992, with one year of fellowship training at the University of Iowa in 2000. He is now the Head of Psychiatry at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He also runs clinics at the Jurong Medical Centre and National Skin Centre. He is on the MOH appointed Visitors Board to IMH and the MSF appointed Elder Protection Team.
His interests are in General Adult Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Psycho-Dermatology and Acupuncture.
Mr. Chong Nai Min
Chairman of IT Committee
Nai Min is the Director of the Information Technology Group at Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG). He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Member of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and the IT Management Association (ITMA).
Nai Min is responsible for all information technology related activities and services at SLNG. He leads a team of managers, system engineers and business analysts to deliver and operate effective information systems, business processes, and business continuity management system.
Prior to joining SLNG in May 2014, he previously spent 12 years at Accenture supporting multiple clients in the delivery of ERP implementation projects in the Telecommunication and Public Service industries, and 4 years at Unity Healthcare as IT Director leading technology-driven transformation.
Professor Foo Keong Tatt
Dr Foo obtained his post-graduate degree in Surgery FRCS from the College of Surgeon of Edinburgh in 1971, and FAMS (Urology) 1991. He is currently Emeritus Consultant and Advisor at the Department of Urology at Singapore General Hospital, having served as the Head of Department from 1988 to 2001; is a Clinical Professor at National University of Singapore and Adjunct Professor at Duke-NUS GMS.
He is the Founder President of the Singapore Urological Association; was the Secretary-General to the Urological Association of Asia from 1998 to 2006 and has been the Honorary Executive Director of the Urological Association of Asia (UAA) since 2010. He is currently a member of the Residency Advisory committee, Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) under the Ministry of Health.
He was awarded the Public Administrative Medal (Silver) in 2001.
Mr. Patrick Goh
Mr Patrick Goh is the President of Avitra Aviation Services Pte Limited. His passion for restoration of architectural buildings and artefacts is seen as he serves as Chairman of the Singapore Hong San See Temple National Monument Restoration Committee and Singapore Hong San See National Monument Restoration Committee. He also serves as Chairman of Singapore Lam Ann Association and Board Member of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.
He was the Chairman of the “One Music One People” opening event at the Singapore Sports Hub on 28 June 2014 which broke two Guinness Book of World Records!
Dr. Lee Cheng Chuan
Chairman of Human Resources Committee
Dr Lee received his basic medical degree as well as Masters Degree in Internal Medicine from the National University of Singapore. He is a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He was President, Society for Infectious Disease, Singapore from 2008 to 2011. He is an advocate for patients with HIV/AIDS and is currently the Vice President of Action for AIDS, Singapore.
Ms. Jesilynn Luar
Jesilynn Luar has worked as Financial Controller and CFO at MNCs and public listed companies. Her responsibilities included Finance, IT and HR in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar. She graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological Institute.
Ms. Ong Siew Kim
Siew Kim is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and FCCA.
She is currently the Head of Business Information (Asia Pacific) at Experian Singapore, the world’s largest credit reference agency and an FTSE100 company. She served as the Senior General Manager at DP Information Group and the DP Bureau before Experian.
Her career included serving in senior finance positions at three leading American Multi-national corporations such as Micropolis Ltd, Packard Bell, NEC and Digital Equipment Corporation.
She also possesses an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Diploma in Counselling Psychology. To her, it is a privilege to be able to give back to the community and she quips: “In giving back to the community, we actually benefit more than what we give multifold.”
Dr. Tan Bhing Leet
Dr Tan is an Associate Professor with the Singapore Institute of Technology. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Head of the Occupational Therapy Department at the Institute of Mental Health for 11 years. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a PhD, and also possesses a Masters in Mental Health from Kings College London and BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from University of Exeter, UK.
Dr Tan was accorded the National Day Award Commendation Medal in 2011.
Dr. Tan Geok Leng
Dr Tan Geok Leng graduated with a PhD in Digital Communications at Cambridge University. He is the founder and CEO of AIDA Technologies, a start-up focused on the application of AI-driven analytics.
Dr Tan has served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Senior Director (Technology and Planning) at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), Executive Director of the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) and Deputy Executive Director at the Science and Engineering Council (SERC).
Ms. Serena Yong
Serena recently retired after serving at Hewlett-Packard Singapore for 28 years. Her last position was Managing Director of HP Inc. for Singapore and Malaysia. During her tenure, she has been awarded the High Achiever Award.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leeds, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Business (Computing) from the Queensland University of Technology, graduating with distinction.
She also serves as Vice-Chairman on the board of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCCI, Women Career Group since 2009.
